Bolton signed Diagne-Faye on loan for the 2005/06 season from Racing Club Lens, initially on loan.
But after his performances earned him a place in the team the move became permanent. There was a clause in the loan deal which was activated upon his tenth appearance, in December.
The midfielder began his career with Senegal champions Jeanne D’Arc of Dakar.
