Hunt is a young Bolton defender who made his debut for the club in a 1-1 draw at home to Sheffield United in May 2001, coming on as a sub for the final seven minutes, at the age of 17.
The defender impressed greatly during the club’s tour of Ireland prior to the start of the 2003/04 season, where he played at right-back although he is also able to play in the centre of defence.
The departure of Colin Hendry, Paul Warhurst and Gudni Bergsson provided Hunt with the chance to move up the pecking order.
