Rommedahl began his career with Danish club Lyngby FC, scoring four times in 26 outings, before earning a move to PSV Eindhoven.
The winger switched to the Dutch club in 1996, and was subsequently loaned to RKC Waalwijk for a year in 1997/98.
The 1999/2000 season saw the player really start to come into his own, and he helped PSV to the Dutch title that season.
