A former Gunner who should have made his first team bow in the Worthington Cup defeat at home to Ipswich Town in November 2000, but injury forced him out of the tie.
He was been impressive in the reserves since stepping up from the youth side, and can play both in the centre of midfield and out wide.
But he was clearly on his way out of Highbury in December 2000 when he joined Third Division Cardiff City on loan with a view to a permanent move.
