Heskey moved to Wigan in a £5.5 million deal in summer 2006, after a disappointing spell at Birmingham, culminating in the clubs’ relegation.
After netting 14 times in 68 games for Birmingham, Paul Jewell was pursuaded to buy the powerful striker to replace Jason Roberts and Heskey has cemented his place alongside Henri Camera in the Wigan frontline.
Heskey made his league debut for Leicester City in 1995, then made 30 appearances for the Foxes in 1995/96 – helping City earn promotion to the Premiership.
